Transfer thread

Wish him the best, but this is one of those important decisions

Sitting role players -> Bissouma, Sarr, Bentancur, (maybe) Gray

Can we upgrade? yes, so who goes? it's one of Biss/Bentancur

My personal opinion is Bentancur is a significantly better player

Right or wrong will be determined by who the replacement is.

I find it a little odd that the media is running articles like this. I don’t think that signing players for good money is particularly unusual for Spurs and certainly not strange enough to run the ‘how are they affording this’ type stories. Let’s face it, the ‘crazy 24 hours’ to which the article refers has, in fact, seen the arrival of ONE player. Not exactly Chelsea, are we?

I think it’s quite simply they’re reading message boards like this and appealing to the masses for clicks

Yeah Bergvall and Bentancur looked fine under Ange, but of course because Bissouma (who wasn't pulling up any trees pre Ange either) was inconsistent it must be because of our useless ex manager. Just so happens to be the one that Frank seems happy to let go too, but yes all the poor performances and the stupid things he has done is on 'Ange ball' and couldn't possibly be because he is not all that.

So that's Son who was only poor because of Ange, Bissouma too - anymore for anymore? We don't need any signings for next season, with all these amazing players we have who were only being held back by Ange we are going to win the league next season :) ....

The number of players form that's blamed on outgoing managers on here is hilarious. The only one I can think of off the top of my head, that actually came true, was Adebayor giving two fingers up to AVB.

I think Biss makes a rod for his own back. When he's good he's very very good....when he's bad he's just meh!

I don't feel that's down to Ange,I just think that's how Biss is. Could say the same for Madders (although he has a more creative role, so more excuses if it fluctuates)

I'd conclude though that it's hard to stick with such players at the very top. Especially if you don't know week to week what version you are going to get.

I just don't see how he survives the summer given the moves we are likely to make and the youth we have. At the very least the maths don't work for him

Maddison can leave along with richy, son etc for various reasons but ultimately because there are above average players that could do their job

I think if maddison could be used right he could be amazing. His first lot of games for us i thought wow.
There's a player there.

If not. Then bye.

He’s been like that throughout his career … very streaky and then off the boil. Can absolutely dominate lower end teams and mid table with the one off performance against top opposition.

His influence on the game is just not on that top level. Put it this way Grealish would be an upgrade and that’s not saying much

Grealish would not be an upgrade in any sense.

We could play 60 games this season coming

Even with MGW we would need Maddison to stay
If Richi went, we would have to buy a backup CF
Son is the only one that we probably have enough cover for in position.
