It's a problem with all prem teams. The rest of europe hasn't got money apart from the biggest teams. So they can't afford the wages/transfer fees.
Also a problem that prem teams overpay.

Funds arent going to make much difference - Gil, Solomon and Son combined will only pay for 2/3rds of MGW

Agree. We used to be the best at it. Zero net spend yet kept improving. We'd take a step back selling a carrick, berba, even bale and modric. But got better in the end.
Then we started going billy big gonads.
Part was that prem teams had more money. They didn't need to sell so their best players richarlison, johnson, solanke became much more expensive.
It's why i like the signings of udogie, bergval, odobert (burnley relegated).
