I know we won't be in for him but I'm stunned no one has gone for Wharton yet, I'm sure they'd sell for a good fee. Surprised Utd or Liverpool haven't gone for him.

I think he's a bit over rated tbh Palace fans seem to think he was pretty anonymous in any game where they were not playing on the counter too. That may be putting off more dominant teams?

Ah it’s the quarterly “good player but” Dembele conversations on here! Not sure why other players don’t get the same criticism of their perceived weaknesses.

It wasn't even that conversation. He was being cited as someone who improved the quality of their passing later in their career (not at all the case), rather than anyone actually critiquing him as a player.

He's English and has a skillset unusual for English players and hence gets a touch over hyped. A bit like Wheelchair and Stones before him.
