You’ve triggered me with that! In the 80s I kept scrap books of newspaper cuttings of our seasons and especially the cup wins. At some point years later my mum persuaded me to get rid of them because they were attracting mites or something like that. I so regret that now.I do wonder if all the fan protests with clubs up and down the country is a symptom of social media frustration.

You’re not going to attain peace or satisfaction if relying on social media for stimulation.
Remember the days when news paper back pages were how football news reached fans? There was thirst for news then too. Now notifications, businesses selling addictive specialist content Per club, channels, followers, streams, posts just suck people into greater expectation. And reality will never keep up with the speculation.
(Similarly to how I gave up my large collection of Enid Blyton hardbacks to a Blue Peter charity Bring and Buy sale. Huge regrets).
