Transfer speculation

Hercules on SC: One more for sure (wide forward) nearly done, I am told. With another highly likely.

We havent been linked with Sancho since the stories about talks breaking down a few days ago, though you keep on saying that you think its likely. Do you have any inside knowledge or is this pure hope? The one wide forward who we obviously have been linked with is Gray. I'd say it would most likely be him or someone out of the blue (kind of like the idea of the latter)

The last I remember reading was everything was agreed, but us and City were bartering about a fee (to avoid it going to tribunal instead)

The Gray story today was that we're considering putting in a bid that's probably nowhere near what Leicester will want. I like Gray, but that doesn't sound like a go-er.

As with all speculation, there's no quotes but this came out at the end of last week following, I believe, some insider/ITK type people saying similarly

As I posted in the Goons thread, cant see any top teams would guarantee him that, not least as part of a 2 man CM that Cheatski play. Might get it as part of a 3 man midfield at Liverpool I guess

I agree. That's why he's talking to Liverpool.

It's probably his best chance of getting a starting place at the WC.
 
Arsenal have played him centrally plenty and he has never impressed. Makes me curious as to how he sees himself.

As a wing back I thought he was Arsenals best player last time I saw them, and it suited him perfectly.

Makes sense though, if thats what he wants - he wouldnt get into Chelseas midfield, and Liverpool dont have one so he probably stands a chance!
