Transfer speculation

Unusual for Chelsea to loan out a player

Sky sources understand Kurt Zouma is set for talks tomorrow with Stoke and West Brom regarding a loan move

Statement signing hahaha, on loan too

One thing is clear ... Spurs is a much tighter run ship now .. nobody knows fudge all about our transfers outside of club.

I think we're just not bothering about them. There's relatively little out there that would improve us, and there's no deadwood to shift (except Sissoko)

Dangerous attitude. If we slip up this season we run the risk of entering life at the new stadium without even Europa League to play for.

I would also add Wimmer to the dead wood list.

Spurs fan: "Alexa, who have Tottenham Hotspur been linked with today?'

Alexa: "Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with no one today" (biddy biddy biddy biddy).

This window is nothing new, nor is it really surprising given the grand wealth splashing around the Premier League atm, especially in Manchester. But it is worrying none-the-less, especially when prices are getting to the point where the FBI or Interpol might need to be called in.

The better we get as a club, the harder it gets. Players will be linked with moves away and players we've targeted will steer clear of us due to our wage ceiling or because they know there's little chance of them getting into our starting XI. Having worked hard and achieved a lot already, who in their right mind would want to go somewhere and sit back on the sidelines?

We're not quite on a life support machine, but we are in danger of missing out on the opportunity of a life time, which in a way makes it as bad as some of the crisises we've endured in years gone by. We're still the dilly dallying half way house of the Premier League in the media's eyes and will continue to be so until wages go up. But even doing so doesn't guarantee results, nor does it guarantee signing any highly regarded players.

How did we spend money we didn't have on a player?

You regularly say that but you can't actually do that accounts wise

Because our net spend on 1 September 2016 was only zero again once the three loan-to-buy deals were accounted for. Or if you account for those 3 deals in this window, then we are carrying over a £25m odd deficit.

Name a signing made buy an EPL club this summer, other than Bernardo Silva, who would have fitted into our squad/system/balance and improved us

But we would be spending money we dont have... you can't do that and you certainly can't account for it in that year

And those loan to buy deals will have had caveats to trigger the sales
