Transfer Rumour Thread

He's a highlights reel keeper, always palming the ball away rather than catching it. Never trust a keeper that wears short sleeves.

Agreed. He made one catch against us in the last three games and kicked the ball out more than in. Decent shot stopper but Mignolet is a good comparison

PSG, according to France Football, do not want to give his young Jean-Kevin Augustine to Tottenham. The London club took the word Laurent Blanc who showed openness to a start in the form of a loan from the young striker.

John Kevin Augustine will not leave PSG this winter.

PSG coach Laurent Blanc said recently that he could leave Jean-Augustin from Kevin on loan at a club that can give him game time. The idea was clearly to accelerate the progress of the young Parisian for his return stronger at Parc des Princes next summer.

Tottenham has obviously taken at face value the word of the PSG coach since he would have made a loan offer without purchase option until June PSG Answer: no, John Kevin Augustine is not moving!

With the refusal of Paris Saint-Germain, Jean-Kevin Augustine should not join any other club for the second part of the season.

If true that a £12 million fee is agreed with Saudi Sportswashing Machine for Townsend (as reported just now by the Guardian) then I wonder whether we'll now see some movement into the club?

In saying that I also wonder how much truth there is in the Guardian report.... as I think Townsend is playing for our under 21s tonight - and had a move been close surely he would've been pulled out of that?

Don't see us bringing anyone in. Townsend is surplus and won't need replacing. It was said earlier that the clubs were just playing the transfer game and it would go through towards the end of the window.

Not in his position maybe but I could certainly see us move for a striker. Pleat hinted as much recently too, IIRC.

We do need a striker. Imagine three injuries occurring due to the hectic schedule. Either we loan one in or we buy one but we need a striker. I cant even see someone in the lower level Spurs' squads who can fill in!!

According to Di Marzio, Wolfsburg are trying to close up the deal for Breel Embolo, with the fee set at 25 million euros. Not surprising that Wolfsburg are the ones being linked here (always seemed like they'd be his likely next destination), but it a) flies in the face of Basel's publicly stated reluctance to sell earlier in the window, and b) is interesting, because the fee is one we really should be jumping at, if it's true. Hell, Fazio + Townsend can cover that fee.

I don't know. I'd rather us sign a cheaper striker that would be happy to play second fiddle to Kane. Less pressure to perform immediately, and the media can't use the price against the player.

Poch and his team has shown us time and again how they turn promising prospects into top notch players, so no need to overpay for players that are already branded as the next Messi or whatever.

Meanwhile, Spurs are hopeful of completing a cut-price deal for FC Sion left-back Jange Pa Modou before the transfer window closes next week.

Modou, 26, is reportedly valued at just £4million.

This is from the Express. What a load of garbage, clearly we need a 3rd left back.

Any big transfers happened abroad yet this window? (Apart from those players being seduced by the money of the Chinese league)
