You know we probably have no interest in this player from Barca don't you? Previous experience suggest that any player we have been heavily linked with, without any real substance, never gets signed. Most of our deals are out of the blue and are only ever been reported when we have had a bid accepted or they are having a medical.

lots won't like it but maybe Defoe comes back as back up to Kane within the Sunderland deal but overall can't see why Townsend would want to go there they will be a championship team next year.They like Villa have been living on borrowed time the last 2 years.

Ironically, the current set-up would suit Defoe more than any other during his time with us bar straight up 4-4-2...not that I think he should be back here under any circumstance (and I do like him, always did), but just saying...
