Obviously yes, but the point of bringing someone in on a loan to give us more depth surely is what they can do for us right now regardless of their age.

I would rather we gave game time to Townsend to keep his development going rather than bring in a player that is possibly slightly better, but also quite possibly worse that isn't used to the league and is going back to Barcelona at the end of the season.

Of course if we have an option to buy him cheaply at the end of the loan things change, but if he he's as highly rated as you say and likely to make it at Barca then why would they give us that kind of an option?

It just doesn't make sense to me.

He just isn't good enough. He won't make it at a club any higher than mid Championship. He has looked very good at his youth level but there is a reason why Barcelona got rid of him (Falque too), not good enough, I'd be very surprised if Deulofeu doesn't make it at Barcelona.

More than I have seen Pritchard yet I know he'll make it. Why has no one decided to take Ceballos on loan? Whether it's in England or Spain? I mean Coulibaly managed to get a loan, even Falque did.. Ceballos is 21 now, surely he must be able to get a loan.

i don't, but you could say that about all of your youth players.

yeah that'd be it. I only started watching our youth team the season just gone and Kane had obviously been promoted up to senior and been sent on loan to clubs. I saw a lot of Pritchard, Ceballos, Bentaleb etc.

With regards to players like ceballos could it be that they were never signed to be first team players but to play in our u21 team. Reason being is we need a player in that mould to help that squad play in the manner we want them too. As playing in the correct way would help bring on the other players, how we want?

Could be. It could also be that we are signing these players with an eye to selling them on for a profit in a year or two.
