Not able to find numbers on that site easily. I thought we had upped the wages of our biggest earners, and some of our more average earners, by quite a bit in recent years.

I think this illustrates my point. I stand corrected somewhat on the increase in wages, but the wages to turnover has gone down significantly, which was my point. That wages to turnover rate! Should give us room to maneuver both with contracts for existing players and new signings. Would like to see us keep that rate fairly low, but the current numbers are probably a bit lower than what we'll aim for.Swiss Ramble's the man to go for for all football finance. From this thread:

Matches well with what I have seen previously about our wages, but hadn't seen those numbers compared to our turnover. Might be some factors skewing those numbers with Wembley, the new stadium and bonuses. But either way that is a tremendous starting point for this summer window and the upcoming seasons.

It also looks like we'll break the 400m mark this year, what with our reaching the CL final, which is quite amazing, given we were at less than half of that when Poch took over. Of course we cannot count on being in the CL final every year, but a decent CL run annually (just getting out of the group stages) should keep us in that territory. I also think that Levy will probably try to keep the wage to turnover somewhere in the low 50% range. That's 200m for wages, which is not far off from the rest of the top 6. I really think we are only just getting started and, if Poch sticks around for another 5-10 years, we will definitely win a league title and even the CL at some point during that period.

Starting to think unless Levy likes washing dishes that we are not going to sign anyone given Levy’s obvious intention not to spend money. Frustration boiling over from our constant apparent low balling of other clubs and no transfer activity in over a year. We are linked with players who could be perfect for the club and yet we don’t act with true intention. Reminds me of the transfer window when Emirates Marketing Project signed Aguero. We ran around making ‘bids’ which led to nothing. If you want something enough you pay for it. Levy has done an excellent job BUT he needs to learn transfer acumen. His reputation is that he will go in to a 5 star restaurant and offer to pay for a meal with a £5 note that he just found on the floor and then he’s surprised when the restaurant tells me that he will go hungry.

That’s the time of the window when you definitely get all the very best players and first choice targets...and in no way way the scraps off the table and your 5th or 6th choice, who you hadn’t even heard of until 4pm that day...
Later than June 15th is last minute now is it?

I remember the exact same things being said last season, only it got progressively later as the window went on.
"It's only June 15"... "It's only July 15"... "There's still a few weeks left"..."There's a few days left, Levy likes his late signings"... "It's early on deadline day, time for a deal yet"....
...."there's no one that we could have signed to improve our squad anyway".

We are doomed i tell thee, doomed.
Not saying we are doomed but feel like we are at a great crossroads for the future of the club. Having reached the CL Final, with an excellent new stadium, and superb training facilities.
Imagine if we had the direct transfer approach for once of getting deals completed early, much like Real Madrid have. I know we aren’t greatly comparable to them in terms of finances BUT we aren’t lacking in finance ourselves and certainly we should have more than enough for a couple of top drawer signings.
Bring in new players who will help take the club forward, will help Levy to show Pochettino that the support is there both contractually and financially.
So to seemingly stand still with our hands in our proverbial pockets isn’t really going to help the club move forward.
Of course, we could now go on to sign good players which would appease the wait but I just think the trigger could be pulled for once and deals completed.
