The only other issues being if we swap Alder for Andersen, and if we replace Llorente or give Parrot a cracker.

Some of us even have awareness of none league players, so we’ll maybe have to go for amateur/ park player level. Low enough not to be listed on Football Manager 2020.
Either way, a definite upgrade still.

We have to stop thinking like a small-time club. We've been in the CL 3 years running and will be again next year. We made it to the final and lost even though we outplayed Pool. And we did all this this year with a makeshift midfield and injuries up the wazoo. We have the cash now and we have the caché. So if we meet the transfer fee, I don't see why any player wouldn't want to join us, especially one like Ndombele, who could instantly take us to the next level. In - Ward-Prowse, Moussa Dembele (Lyon) and Sessegnon
Out - Trippier, Lamela (hopefully Roma for his sake), Wanyama (Everton), Janssen (AZ Alkmar), GKN (Equipe de n'importe qoui)
Hopefully add in a few younger prospects to ins, some championship buy and loan backs would do nicely, we've gotta be looking for the next brooks / Maddisons.
I don't think there's any chance of N'Dombele or Lo Celso, former as he's out of our reach, latter I think isn't going to leave for less than the supposed release clause.

True, but our wage structure is changing. We have kept wages pretty steady in the past 2-3 years, yet our income has skyrocketed and will continue to do so with the new stadium and CL participation. And given that we target wages to be, not a specific amount, but a percentage of total turnover, we are way below that now that our income has increased so much. So we have plenty of room there. Not only that, but I don't think Ndombele will be coming in expecting £300K/wk. He'll probably be in the £150K/wk range, which should be well within our means.I was going to reply with just the word "wages" but guess that'd be a bit snarky, it's just my opinion and whether you think that realism is small club thinking or not it's the way we operate. If you really think we're going to shell out 70/80m on a 22 y/o midfielder who given the hype (most likely justified) will be asking for wages to match then great, I'll believe it once he's holding the shirt on the OS. We have little resale value in that area of the pitch and elsewhere we're looking at losing two key 1st team players for nothing.
As for injuries and whatnot, some people act like we're the only club to suffer them. It didn't come as a huge surprise that Wanyama and Dembele offered very little in terms of game time and that Winks' ankle issues troubled him; Dier was the main surprise with the difficult time of it that he had. I think going in to more detail on this here will be taking the thread off topic, perhaps I should've kept it just to the predictions.
