Davies having a good game. Starting to look a bit more comfortable and assured.

Agreed, though he doesnt look to me like someone who will develop into a genuine top class LB. I dont see too much difference between him and Rose in terms of overall quality. Davies looks better defensively, Rose better going forward

Davies has a better final ball too

3 last season and he scored in all of them.

But recent form is more important, surely? I mean you weren't calling for him to start at the beginning of the season because he scored 3 in 3 as a forward last season, or maybe you was i don't know? It's his recent form for the first team in cup games as a number 10 which is earning this praise, so why attempt to disrupt that?

We're playing a pretty open game here, when we don't really need to. They seem to be able to counter every time we lose the ball up the pitch.

If only Dawson had the long range passing ability of Kane, does anyone miss those diagonal hoofs from the back?

Asteras are not bad considering that Tripoli has a population of just 30,912 (2011, Wikipedia).

He's been given 3 chances to play up front in the league and scored in all 3 games....that proves he can do it.

This season he hasn't been given any chance. It's not as if he's played bad...it's just he's not been given a chance but we know he can play that role.

I would keep playing him in the cups and bring him off the bench in the PL for either Chadli or Eriksen depending on performances. I would stick with 4-2-3-1 because the team look good playing it and it suits our squad (including Kane).

I see,. Not a bad call. But dont think he fits into a 3 behind a lone striker.
