don't absolutely throw away 45 minutes of the match by fielding the wrong team and playing mind numbing tactics that wont yield a chance if we were to play until Wednesday?

You want us to moan about everyone equally? I've been hugely excited about Townsend for years now but the only reason Bale was allowed to shoot like that was because he scored a ****load of goals and he had already had a few years history of exceptional performances. And perhaps more importantlly, he wasn;t always just shooting for the sake of it but often when his bloody teammates wouldn't move or provide anything better. You'll often find Townsend shooting even when better options are on and sometimes even when there is a defender directly in front of him.

Soldado has also been poor. The service has often been poor but even when it hasn't today, his movement or finishing have been below par.

The main reason people are talking about one and the other however is that the alternative to Soldado is just not acceptable. Either a limited Defoe or a frozen out Ade. In effect, the alternative is worse than what is currently there. Townsend's alternative is our record signing, someone who is finally starting to settle in and who has shown incredible ability at Roma.

In reality, both of them have been poor.


What I do find strange about gg is that certain fans latch on to one player. Either to constantly attack that player or constantly defend that player. Regardless. Either the same few people criticising Walker or Dawson in every single match thread. Or the same people defending Defoe or Townsend, regardless of legitimate criticisms. Its like being at an under 15s game and criticising someone's son.

Porto AVB had Falcao last year he had Bale ... This season ?

We will finish 7-8 we are no way top 4 get used to it !!

4) leaving Paulinho on the pitch the whole 90 minutes despite being garbage
5) leaving Eriksen on the pitch the whole 90 minutes despite being garbage
6) Changing formations to 4-4-2 when we looked like we were bossing the game.
7) Putting Defoe on.
8) Playing a high line when friedel is in goal.


He'll tell us how good we played in the second half and it will all be forgotten.
