So far this season, every match I've been to have been to has had at least a 3 goal winning margin, Liverpool next.

On the topic of the match, it was interesting seeing Gray in the flesh, I felt in the first half he didn't really impose himself or have any real purpose and he seemed to position himself in really cautious places. As a result he didn't see much of the ball, it was definitely something that felt noticeable at the match. 2nd half, I don't know whether Frank had said he had 15 minutes or just some general tweaking but he came out much more forthright and really started to impose himself on the game. Which led to the Odobert chance. It's a shame that he got taken off just as he was finally starting to really take part. Sarr though came on and kept the same energy so a good sub and decent competition for that role for the moment.
Odobert I thought was a little disappointing, some decent touches but he never really seemed to go for the jugular. A bit like With Gray, although with Odobert you could tell he'd been tasked with keeping the pitch as wide as possible, but there were lots of opportunities for him to spin off the LB and into a support run. Not a bad performance exactly but a bit of a missed opportunity for him. Tel by contrast came straight on and pushed the LB back immediately. He had a lot more purpose with his intentions. Just that cameo was enough that I would probably give Tel the next start on the left, he looked hungry, physical and determined something I couldn't quite say for Odobert.
Xavi is really growing, he had a great game. He did a fair bit on the conduction I think we are so desperately seeking. Even really getting stuck in and taking defensive responsibility on at least a couple of occasions. I'm glad Romero let him have the pen in the end because it was a nice seal to the game for him but also it helps change the narrative of how he's doing at least from a statistical perspective. You could see he's really starting to feel at home and the crowd really sang his praises as he's getting more comfortable with the expectations and demands placed upon him.
Romero was great, even in the 2nd half when he decided to up the ante and stayed quite up field on a number of occasions. VDV had a lot of covering to do on the left and did it very well. Palhina was a little limited in his passing but thats who he is, otherwise a solid performance from him.
I really liked MuanI's little cameo. He didn't score ot even have a chance that I recall, but his hold up and running with the ball was so incisive. Goals happen when he's on the pitch, the 2nd pen was all down to his great chest control and vision to let it drop for Xavi (iirc). Richy was decent in the first half, put himself about but lacked quality in what he doing but again a decent performance from him.
I must not forget Vicario who had a great game, maybe no outstanding saves but quite good ones that were nestling into the corner otherwise.
Frank got a good cheer from the fans at the end. He probably realises what he needs to get from the players to win the fans over now.
