Tottenham Hotspur V Aston Villa

Not been watching much, saw a couple of their chances, and missed Son's chance, but would it be fair to say they deserve the lead at half time?

That would be fair. We had Son's chance and a long shot from Spence. They've had all the play and a couple of more chances, they've looked well organized and we've been a mess.

We're still in it, though! Come on, boys!

Its not Porro, its the lines

The midfield is too close to the front line, and too far from the back line.

Any pass is into an open space between the midfield and back line and allows Villa to run against us.

This is coaching unfortunately
Porro is way too far ahead of the rest of the defence every single time, that's nothing to do with the midfield. We don't see the same issues on the left with Spence.

There was a game under Hoddle in 2003 when I knew he was done. We lost a cup game 4-0 at Southampton. Maybe we’ll turn it around but this has a very similar feel based on that first half.

Tactically, we’re a mess. They have no fit CB either by the way but they still don’t look clueless.
Except I don't see Ange being sacked thos evening either

There's no revelation saying we are not a settled side! I feel for Postecoglou trying to build some consistency and stability. Can't be easy right now. Lack of confidence in him. Lack of players. New players. Young players.

I wish the press was more sophisticated, it so often leaves us out of shape, and without full commitment and a high line it is also lacking.

Yet away from home, with 17yo, 2 x 18yo, 19yo new signing, 21yo new keeper we are only 1 down.

He said he causes injuries in the first season. If you're going to be pedantic so can I.

Sorry, players injuring themselves have a thousand physical and environmental variables associated with them, and the idea it's a manager causing it beyond conditioning is absurd.

“[The hamstring injuries] are obviously something we want to get on top of but it’s not new to me either,” the Celtic manager said. “The way we play I kind of understand, and have done at the clubs I’ve been at, that the beginnings are always difficult. We play differently and train differently and it takes players time to adjust to that and along the way we obviously pay a price. People forget that a lot of these guys didn’t do a pre-season with us and came in late and we’ve been playing catch up the whole way through

But the one thing I’ve never done, and I won’t do in my whole career, is compromise the football team we want to be because we are not quite ready to be there. I’d rather sort-of keep going at the pace we are going and it means we are going to have some casualties along the way and lose a few. But I still think, for us as a football team and club as we try to grow to be a certain type of side that plays a certain brand of football, it is just part of the process.

Nothing about one season and in fact shows he doubles down rather that tweaks

Liverpool actually lost to Plymouth?! Haha. What. Didn't see the result until now.

Oh well, off topic.
