Tottenham Hotspur V Aston Villa

Positives, it's only 1 0 and the away support sounds good. Aside from that we are a mess and I can't see us turning it around. We limped out of the semi final but fair enough against a strong Liverpool side. It looks like we are going to do the same today.

Here's hoping for an improvement in the second half but it's not looking likely.

I wonder if there was some overhang from the previous seasons coaching wrt defensive structure as it's been completely lacking ever since

I agree with the Kinsky comments in the studio. He’s probably never had a leaderless defence in front of him and they just said is the 5th different CB pairing in the last 7 games.

Archie Gray said after the Brentford game that Davies talked them through the whole 90 mins. Now he’s out the team again with a 19 year old CM in front of him.

Its not Porro, its the lines

The midfield is too close to the front line, and too far from the back line.

Any pass is into an open space between the midfield and back line and allows Villa to run against us.

This is coaching unfortunately

He is playing to the gallery - From player's exhaustion to missing key first team players to playing away from home, there are many reasons. If that is all Defoe can point out after being a coaching staff at Spurs, then I am worried for his future as a manager.
