Tottenham Hotspur v Arsenal OMT

I just hope Defoe starts

instead of the half fit, breakdown monster that is VDV

(just don't start lecturing me on how skillful VDV is, I know - I just don't think he will be fit enough)

Pathetic comparison. Still dont understand what anyone see's in Szczesny...I usually dont jinx things before a game, but he is sh#t. Truely rubbish, and I hope he plays tomorrow.

ooh no, i'd rather they play Almunia or Fabianski

Szecxsznny is much better than them

I agree totally. I love VDV but I want 442 - either Defoe or Saha

More confident today than ever before.

My confidence has been swinging like a pendulum these days. Reason tells me to be more confident than ever before away to Arsenal. Then the conditioning from years as a Spurs fan kicks in, a feeling of confidence will always be followed by pain and disappointment. I feel like Pavlov's dogs, only the bell is that confident feeling and my body immediately contracts, expecting the kick in the nuts that for so long followed.

Even with our impressive performances and results the last couple of years, I still have an unhealthy association between confidence and pain when it comes to Spurs.

quite simply i expect a win

the Arse have been better than us for the last 10-15 years and they have gone into most NLD's expecting to win, taking the emotion partly out of the game

yes its slightly different than any other game and losing perhaps means more than losing any other game - but the bottom line is we are playing a team than we are better than and that we should be beating to ensure we stay in touch at the top and ensure they are too far behind to have any thoughts of catching us

I have a feeling this is the game he has been targetting for his return for a while. Rightly or wrongly, I think he will start tomorrow alongside Abedabyor

VDV never looks match fit to be fair but this is the sort of game where he will cause serious damage aslong as he stays up field & stops taking the ball off Friedel's toes...

No no best 11 IMO also.

why would you say that? what from that 11 shows significant superiority to any other team we can put out....and by this i dont mean the odd game....i mean consistently.

why for you is that 11 the one thats is consistently a better performer than all the rest?

Thomas Vermaelen
Endured a nightmare in Milan but Arsenal are usually a much more resilient proposition when Vermaelen is available. Ledley King has only played 15 games this season and so is overlooked.

As opposed to Vermaelen's mammoth tally of 16 :-k

Only lost once this season haven't when we King has played? & Howard Webb fudged us over that day

"It's not the disappointment it's the hope I can't cope with"
