Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

There's a rumour going around that they'll roll out one of the trays soon, probably the west side.

As I understand it, our pristine grass pitch will be on the rollers and be over the top of some astro turf style effort for the serial celebrators of the NFL to play on. So how do the rollers (presumably there are fixed tracks) work in terms of the NFL pitch? Can they be removed or covered or something?

They will be covered.

The first two with the lifter up near the apex of the Skywalk made me wonder if Levy was up there rehearsing his DiCaprio/Titanic moment:

Looks like that's the first tray rolling out on the right hand side of the image.

I'm getting a semi from these latest pics. Also find myself increasingly anxious over how the new stadium will "feel", both whilst there and through broadcast - I hope we're able to make it home quickly, dreading it will feel a bit alien and weird though - but it being basically on the same lot as WHL must be worth quite a lot in that regard. I'm hoping to be able to visit sometime in the fall - but also can't wait to see what the broadcast from there will be like, as most of the games I'll see will be through TV. I'm hoping the new stadium can capture some of the same close feeling you got from White Hart Lane. I can see myself anticipating the first broadcast images from the new stadium like people anticipated the moon landing back in the day. :p

The season is over, then it's the world cup, then a boring summer, then ... we're fudging on. It's so close. Can't believe this thing is actually happening, 11 years (is it?) after we first heard of it. Monumental stuff.
