Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

I thought Stella was one of the few without chemicals?

depends where the bottle you get is brewed, I'm not sure if it's still the case but for a long time there were multiple sources into the UK market, some were brewed here, with extra chemicals, some are brewed in Europe under the "German beer purity law" and only use 4 ingredients, obviously making a better beer less likely to give you a hangover

Becks make a big deal of this now but I think Stella (yeah, I know it's it not German) have done the same

I expect anything on tap is probably crap though

Beaverton are ace! Very happy to see us team up with them. Bought a neckoil at the local store here a few years back, loved it, and had to check out where it was from - Tottenham N17! Ace. I don't usually buy craft beer at every opportunity, but I buy neckoil every time I see it. Its lovely.

Not a big fan of Stella, peroni or fosters myself. Best lager in the world is Czech, "zlatopramen". :D

Anyway, any more pics of this new stadium? I'm looking forward to seeing all seats installed.

Don't provided that right wing piece of brick with the advertising revenue by clicking on it.

Ok for those who don't want to, the article reads -

Tottenham facing race to move into new stadium on time as Wembley give option to renew occupancy deal
  • Tottenham are facing a race to move into their new stadium in time
  • The FA have given Spurs more time to decide on whether to stay at Wembley
  • A deadline has been moved back by two weeks to coincide with the fixtures
  • Spurs have refused to rule out the possibility of staying at the national stadium
The Football Association have given Tottenham more time to decide whether to renew their occupancy of Wembley amid fears that their new stadium will not be ready for the 2018-19 season.

Spurs were due to tell the FA on Thursday if they wanted to continue using the national stadium next season.

However, Sportsmail understands the deadline has been moved back two weeks, to coincide with the announcement of the Premier League fixtures.

The FA declined to comment while Tottenham were reluctant to rule out the possibility of renewing the tenancy agreement, despite work on their new £800million home continuing at a frantic pace.

But senior football sources are beginning to question whether the 62,000-seat stadium will be ready even after a series of away games in August and the international break at the start of September.

The Premier League will allow Tottenham to play their opening three games away from home when the new season starts on August 11, having made allowances for West Ham, Liverpool and Blackpool in the past.

But if the stadium is not ready by the time the domestic season resumes after England's friendly with Switzerland on September 11, it will raise a number of problems.

Premier League rules dictate that the location of a club's first home game must be their home ground for the remainder of the season.

Changing that rule, and allowing Tottenham to play a few games at Wembley, could be discussed at next week's Premier League summer meeting.

The club have already sold tens of thousands of season tickets for the new stadium, while a number of test events will need to take place for safety reasons.

The first NFL game at the new state-of-the-art Spurs stadium is scheduled for October 14. One option would be to switch that game to Twickenham, which is available.

Right now the FA, the Premier League and the NFL are giving Tottenham their full support. But a decision must be made before June 14, when the Premier League announce their full fixture list for the 2018-19 season.

No, they aren’t lifting lugs as they were fiddled with, cut off, ground down, replaced in last few weeks. I assume it will be covered eventually with cladding/glazing
They’re the attachment points for the tall vertical steels that go from the podium base to the top of the compression ring that holds the glazing.

So, the emerging consensus on TFC, Skyscrapercity and a few others seems to be that we aren't going to fully finish the stadium until November/December - but that it will be sufficiently finished to allow us to host games in September/host the NFL game in October.

Bare bones style, I mean - construction ongoing on the cladding, fancy bits and wiring while the turnstiles are open and the crowd control rooms/broadcasting gantries are operational. And, of course, the playing surface will be ready, as will the changing rooms.

Does that sound accurate to the folks involved in construction here?

It sounds accurate looking at it. To build something of this size and scale in just over a year was adventerous. That we'll likely be able to play games there and finsih all the non-essentials during the season will be a massive achievment in itself. Chelsea were to take 4 years away from the Bridge to build their new digs!
