Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

We have always been willing to negotiate with the club on a reasonable and proper basis. Our efforts towards that end have been unsuccessful so far, but we will continue to try to achieve a proper settlement by agreement if that is possible.

Translated:

"We are greedy b*****ds and thought we might be able to get more via the courts but, now that we've lost, we're going to try to get more out of the club again"!

Would be amazed if the club stood for this. Serve the CPO, kick them out and get building!!

They can't get any more out of the club.

The bailiffs will take the site in a few weeks' time and they'll be paid the independently valued market rate they were told years ago.

Except now they've blown about half of that on legal fees

Its a sad end. But some time i think people are dealing with some scrap dealer in Levy. He has proved time and time again to get the best deal for Spurs. Top work sir.

Nice! Let's just cross our fingers and hope it's true...

(I demand suspensions at the BBC if it's not! :p)

Will wait until the official statement from the club before popping the champagne (drinking the celebratory whiskey).

oh come on, get the party started!!

NORTHUMBERLAND DEVELOPMENT PROJECT UPDATE
Posted on 13 March 2015 - 15:30

The Club has received confirmation that Archway Steel will not be applying to the Court of Appeal for permission to appeal the High Court's decision last month to refuse their legal challenge of the Compulsory Purchase Order.

The next step will be to vest the land in Haringey Council's ownership and to agree the compensation amount payable to Archway.

We shall also continue to seek to reach an agreement with Archway by private treaty.

We shall provide a further update as matters progress.

If a settlement can speed up the move, then why not? They still have the eight weeks (or remainder of eight week) before handing over to Haringey and then Spurs must buy from Haringey. Who knows, there might be ways they can legally delay the move in some circumstances. If they can come to an arrangement where Archway move earlier, or allow part of their properties to be demolished while they move, then it can benefit both parties. Obviously the premium they get for cooperation will be a lot less than it would have been, but there is nothing to be gained by being petty now.

They have very little leverage at this point .. they have been very badly advised in my opinion ... 8 weeks is fudge all

They would be been best served by doing a deal with the club a year ago .. get the "incentive" and save themselves on the legal fees

Stupid, emotional decisions ..
