Tottenham Hotspur Stadium - Licence To Stand

Posted on Skyscrapercity, said to be from facebook.

I went for a Spurs tour today it was fantastic and a must for all supporters before we say goodbye to White Hart Lane.
On the tour they mentioned a new stadium with 61k capacity. A Bill Nicholson statue at the main gates holding the keys to the stadium. The stadium will not be called White Hart Lane as the naming rights have been sold. They are waiting for Archway to vacate so they can demolish the building and finally any talk of moving to MKDons or Wembley is newspaper talk nothing has been decided but we will have to move for one year. The T in THFC lower east is where the new turnstiles will be.
What surprised me the most was what you get for 50k a box no bigger the 8x8 with no food or drink. Give me lower east any day.

This would be a dream. Just like a double size WHL inside.

4 proper stands. No 00s wavy bowl crap.

Make it happen Levy and Populus

Would love it if it was anything like the above design, absolutely despise the bowl design and was pleased they looked at the kop style stand from previous designs.

Surely we'll be hearing/seeing some stuff soon?

CPO ensures they get market value. That's one of the key principles of them. It's an independent valuation.
I would personally be more accepting of CPO's if it was market value + x%.
Whilst any rational person can see the need for them, they do leave a nasty taste in the mouth, for everyone concerned.

Truly truly hope and wish that with all the delays we have used the time productively to plan an awe inspiring stadium. I'll be gutted if we end up with something nondescript.

You know, I'd just want to be sure we get something big enough, and conducive to a vibrant atmosphere.

However, no reason why we can't use the opportunity and go for something iconic.

Not for me they don't.

I'd be just as happy if the CPO was market value - x% or even 0.

What if your house was subject to a CPO?
It wouldn't be. I live in a conservation area of listed buildings.

That's intentional so that there can't be any ugly new builds, no low-cost housing and no CPOs, etc. They don't regenerate this kind of area.

You have to chuckle at articles like this, the cretin has obviously never stepped foot in Tottenham judging from this opening quote

After the riots, the regeneration: Tottenham’s new stadium, franchise shops, 10,000 new homes…
It sounds great, but Tottenham’s distinctive character is at risk, say objectors, as developers overlook – or even demolish – the best of what’s already there

Had a quick peek through the hole in fence yesterday, didn't seem to have been much progress on site since the WHU match. Hopefully 3 weeks down the line we might see more at the Villa game

Seems fairly typical of the bleeding heart sh1te you would find penned by the qunts who write for that rag.

Just look at it from another angle: If that paper weren't full of that kind of article, it wouldn't be of any use to douchebag students trying to get laid. Seeing as that's the vast majority of their readership they have to fill it with nonsense like that.
