Toby Alderweireld

I just cant agree with anyone who says this. You can 'target' any player you want, doesn't mean you get the better of him. I'm still yet to see Trippier be taken to the cleaners by anyone. All our full backs get caught out positionally at times because of the way they have to play in getting up and down the pitch, even Davies and Trippier is no better or worse in that aspect. His defensive capabilities are absolutely fine....

Chelsea and Burnley in consecutive matches. It's why it became so important that we got Aurier's transfer over the line.

That might be true, but adding a couple more injuries and any team will struggle. We haevnt hit a particularly busy period yet, coming up to winter is when things begin to get tough. Also don't get why you refernce Trippier as if hes some sort of weak link.....

It doesnt get busier than playing every 3 days like we have

We're still a man short though. We have 5 senior players (Toby, JV, Sanchez, Wanyama and Dier) for 4 positions (3 CBs and DM), which for me isnt enough. Granted you dont need a defensive DM (if you see what I mean) and can play someone like Winks or Dembele there who achieve some of the same result differently, or you can go to 4 at the back, but I think we need another senior CB (by senior I mean first-team-ready), or be very confident about Foyth's speed of development
If Dier moves to the back 3, then we can always use Sissoko in midfield. Or Dele can play as a CM, where he has been superb, and Son come in up front. Makes rotation a bit more challenging, but it's not like we don't have options. And it will only be for a few weeks, anyway.

Christmas/New years is where we have under Poch excelled as he keeps us in such good condition for then
Cant argue with that mate! Just a concern with injuries this season, but hopefully thats it now with longer term ones coming back could all come together nicely.....

My fear with Toby is that its the same time he got injured last year and his injury cost us a lot

However Sanchez makes that gap up significantly

And we don't have the pointless round of 32, so start back in Europe later in the new year.
And we don't have the Carabao Cup games in December/Jan. And while it's a shame we miss out on the chance to play at Wembley I'll take the extra rest and fewer games.

Why? After all, Kane was only ten days...:D

Rose was meant to be a couple of weeks. Lamela was meant to be a couple of months.

If you take all our 'expected' injury timescales and multiply them by four, you'll live a happier life. If it turns out that you were right, you won't be surprised and can be pleased with your foresight - if you're wrong, you'll be happy because the player's back sooner than you expected. You win either way. :D

What if you were wrong and they were out a year longer than you expected?
