Have seen Pats a couple of times this year - I don't remember the lad to be honest and he played in both games. That said, I have a mate who is a Pats fan and says he's different class. Big step up in level though.
Seems we're playing the numbers game on finding future strikers - Veliz, Parrott, Lankshear, Scarlett, Etete, Soonsup Bell, Feeney.
Don't blame the club either based on the price of strikers. I know a couple of these have come and gone already, but we have top keep acquiring these young kids and seeing if they make the journey into their 20's. When you look closely, you only really see Scarlett from our own academy. I guess Jaden Williams might be another, but he's 20 now and will no doubt move on soon.
I hope we get Melia. The more the merrier at this age group.
Ajayi is home grown striker, plays wide got good pace and presses well, could be a big year for him.
Good call. Didn't he make the transition from U18 to U21 in the middle of last season. I thought he was a right winger when I saw him.
Haven't seen him but my brother-in-law is a Pats fan and says he'll be great. From what I can remember he became the youngest goal scorer in the Irish league a couple of years ago.Any irish posters on here?

It's a massive amount of money - it's usually a six figure sum at most that the clubs here get paid. I'd imagine the £3m is either exaggerated or primarily performance related.I didnt think Ireland had a professional league? That's a brick load of money for a semi-pro club!
I like Richy as a striker when he is 100% fitAn upgrade on Richy. He puts in a shift, but his finishing is not good enough, and even tonight’s short cameo gave us a couple of brainless moments.
Vicario needs serious competition too.
Perhaps if we got a good fee for Richarlison that could then be reinvested. Could make sense. More pressing needs elsewhere, but need two strikers so can't sell Richarlison to buy in a different position anyway. An upgrade on Richy. I think a good fee is only coming from Saudi, and Richie has no interest in that...so we are at an impasse.Perhaps if we got a good fee for Richarlison that could then be reinvested. BOTH solanke and richy are the same age (27) which leaves no room for succession planning too, another indirect reason to sell richy - its better age diversification for the team
Yeah, but Son is 5 years older. He has Johnson, Yang, Moore, Odobert etc as his diversity
Solanke and Richi have Scarlett, Lanks, Veliz and the other younger strikers as their diversity.
The subtle difference is that Son's successors are active in the first team. It's interest that our number 9's aren't, except for maybe Lanks who has at least played in the EL.
