The transfer thread

So if i make a twitter account, stick a Spurs logo as the picture, call it a Tottenham Transfer account and then hashtag a random name, everyone will believe the random players i link us to and inevitably have a meltdown and blame Levy when we don’t sign them?

Is the righ t answer. 👍

What we need to decide as a club is do we what a one on one guy or a versatile forward like Richy
Muani is like the latter
Arguably Mbuemo is too but better
Always likes Lookman. He is another similar to these but with the added benefit of Hg status there are options
If money was no object the best signing IMO Is Jamie Bynoe-Gittens… goals and dribbly guy

I'd never heard of Bynoe-Glittens but sounds good, seems to have escaped attention at Dortmund, good for HG list and looks like he's coming into form and adding goals to his game. Dortmund don't sell cheap though.

Solomon or Edwards would leave us non-plussed, but might be decent options right under our nose, to give us some trickery on the wing?

He is brilliant
The next sancho providing his career is managed well
He would be £60m plus extras imo
Came through at city via Chelsea IIRC

Who? Manor the player we have already and Marcus Edwards the player we sold?

…and that we have a buy-back clause on. Plus HG.

Neither would set pulses racing. Neither are galacticos, but if we put that aside, both are competent wingers who will beat a man. Obviously no more than short term squad bolsters, but they are already ‘ours’.

We don't have a buy back option. We held onto a small share of any future sell on fee when he moved from vitoria to sporting.

Yes, okay. There is a clause which would give us a theoretical discount. Though in real terms it wouldn’t make much difference unless others were in for Edwards - effectively setting a market price.

For me the main priority is and should be properly fixing problems. Rather sign someone young that can fix an issue 12 months from now than a squad bolsterer.

Although I have my thoughts on what positions/roles that should be the priority, the reality of the January window is such that you can't always be that picky. Would rather fix any issue than squad bolster a priority position.

But given reality, and availability of ready made talent we aspire to, these two ‘former’ players might be useful.

Quality player
If he clicks at city

They have a habit of confining talent. Can you imagine Haaland at Spurs? He'd be bigger than Kane. Or Grealish, who's a bit part run of the mill player now. He would have been a star with us wouldn't he? The "clicks" bit is crucial. Kevin De Bruyne and few others certainly have clicked there, but you couldn't say the same of Grealish and even Haaland, who might even be the cause of their malaise. As good as he is.

They are not getting relegated.
I can see it now,
Emirates Marketing Project have been found guilty on all charges and in consideration of their obstruction in the pursuit of this case the Premier League have decided to hand out the severest possible penalties.
Therefore there be a £500m fine, a three year transfer ban and a 50 point deduction for the next three Premier seasons for Tottenham Hotspur F C.
