The transfer thread

I dont know, looks alright in that clip. Also, he is a forward who seems to know when to pass and can pick out a pass hence the assists. That's a great skill to have, as well as can score goals. Looks a bit two footed, or can use both feet at least if he needs to.

Not sure what's not to like but as you say, who knows.

Yeah, I'm not a good judge obviously, just think he looks to lack a bit of quickness or accelleration. Don't really disagree with any of what you wrote, the data must be good for us to be looking at him - I hope he's good and that we get him!

I'm def not sold on it, but tis what tis

My logic is: most people seem to want a tricky RWF. But I think by strengthening our direct option there (Munai being better than Johnson), it's recognising that we're going to have our tricky option at LWF (through Odobert and Moore succeeding Son). So I think this might actually be the best sort of attacking signing we could make - effectively replacing Son (albeit with a reversal of sides).

We've also had a phenomenal hit rate since Paratici and Lange have been running things, so they have definitely earnt the benefit of the doubt. Solanke 6 months ago was probably a comparable risk, and I think that's proving a success.

Wide attacking signings one area that the transfer department is maybe a bit questionable on - Werner & Johnson... Odobert looks promising tbf but small sample size

Fair. Werner was always just a stop gap like Perisic though. And I'm still not sure about Johnson yet - he has most of the tools and it could still click for him. This direct competition may do him some good. I suppose we can add in Solomon too, but becoming a radicalised genocide apologist was probably not on our psychometric profiling.

I think he will play left more to start with
We have no one on that side who is moving with the ball

Although Richarlison back imminently too and that's probably his prime position. I'm not sure I'd particularly fancy a Muani-Solanke-Richarlison combination, even though they'd be the best three individuals for those spots. It would be a hugely powerful front line though

Richy won’t play any starts in any proper games now
We won’t risk him
He will likely play Sunday
