Probably just testing the water/making him aware of our interest as a continency for Romero not extending his contact. If Palace flinched at a lowish offer (Guehi has only got 18 months on his contract), I guess we might have done it now, rather than wait and see what happens in the summer.

We didn't spend time on it today, says the action was done a couple of days ago and we've signed Danso since then.
I suspect they're just formally enquiring about what sort of price would be needed with an eye on the summer window. If there was any chance we could get him this window they might have gone for it. Instead, we'll consider replacing Romero with Guehi later this year.
Van der Ven, Guehi, Danso and Dragusin with Vuskovic and Davies as possible back up.
