The transfer thread

It’s all gonads
As was discussed yesterday night one ITK … including Romano knew we were getting Danso yet the way they have reported it is that we got it over the line in 18 hours overnight
I’m not sure I can believe that
My guess would be that the club has a deal done and he was here having his medical etc… whilst the people that have monetised rumours and lies were just churning crap out
Pretty much all journos and agents close to/following Spurs have commented that these days barely anything comes out the club in terms of activity. We are running very much under the radar and I can't remember the last time a transfer was obviously going ri to happen for weeks before it was announced. Generally we find out links to a player just before we sign them these days....

I don’t understand why we need another CB if we have just signed one and have VDV coming back, Romero should be back soon and Ben Davies who can play there. If Dragusin is out for a long time we still have enough cover with Gray to fill in aswell.

Looking forward we also have Phillips and Vuskovic to come in next season aswell.

Spence is a right back, filling in admirably at left back. We need some competition for Udogie who has struggled this season for form and fitness

In our system, being a right footer when cutting into midfield, can be productive. Bit like inverted wingers.

If any truth to it that we were looking to spend that kind of money it asks more questions for me than it answers. I.E Ghuei is a really classy operator so is this new bloke that I had to "Danny Rose" just a cheaper quick option (genuinely don't know). If we are willing to spend that on a CB surely we are looking at that kind of money elsewhere where we need it like CM or a proper high end attacking option?

BBC and Guardian saying we've bid 60-70M??

Really? We are prepared to spend that kind of money on a CB??

They turned down 60-65m from Saudi Sportswashing Machine in the summer I seem to recall.

Seems odd doesn't it, we must be offloading someone (Romero?) in the Summer and may be trying to do this now to avoid a battle in the Summer.

Or it's all total gonads.

The quickest transfer in history
We managed ti hijack it at 5pm and get the medical done at midnight

Makes me wonder whether it follows some occupational health protocols. After request by our club, consent is given by the player and his medial information needs to be passed from one club to the other. It's a health surveillance record that follows him around in his career.

I really rate Romero still despite him being a popular player to hate on but his injuries and seemingly being fit for his country grate even if it is just coincidence. I think we are planning long term for once and he is gone in the summer
