The transfer thread

Putting pressure on the board to sign players and complaining about the physio department?

Who does he think is, Conte? (Obviously not because Conte can organise a back 3 that won't concede 3 against Everton in 45 minutes).

I do appreciate he's probably tired of saying "The club is doing everything they can yada yada yada" so mixing it up a bit makes sense, if only out of sheer boredom.

Why do people even bother to watch or read anything related to these press conferences?

I can only speak for myself, I've been out for a nice walk in the sunshine, had breakfast, had morning sex (with an actual real person!!!)...What else am I meant to do with the rest of the day, apart from looking at banal interviews where the same brick is rehashed, or perusing transfer rumours about players I know fudge all about? It's not a rhetorical question, I am genuinely open to suggestions! I will watch the cashico Derby later and hope they both lose but apart from that the day is a blank canvas....

I was going to suggest something clever, but couldn't think of anything worthwhile. I would rinse and repeat the first three items on your list as long as I could.

Go for a swim, prepare a meal to cook later, do some housework, read a book, visit a cultural venue or go down pub/wine bar, if all these fail to whet your appetite have a nap on the sofa.

He’s got some front.

We are in this situation largely because of his refusal to rest anyone earlier in the season or reduce the strain in training.
That simple huh, is that what all Bournemouth fans are saying about the new Spurs messiah Ireola and his squads injury woes, all whilst having only one game a week? Hmmm....

Is it too late to suggest a book?

There are some saying that Levy dont want to sign any more players i jan. Will only accept loan deals… that would in mine mind be crazy
We shouldnt be signing January players. Because generally they are brick. Damjumas and Werners.

Ideally we might sign a summer player early

It's the holes vs quality argument in my mind. Most fans seems to be saying the words "we're short of players". I just don't agree.

What we're short of is more quality players. Take left back. We have one potentially great one in Destiny and we have 2 sub-standard ones in Davies and Reggie. Then we have a couple of makeshift ones in Spence and Gray. So we actually have 5 options at LB nowadays but you'll still read "we're short at LB". Problem is, the one we need is the only injured one out of the 5.

If we can't get quality players in, then keep building the kitty and go big in the summer.

What we need more than signings is fit, quality bodies back from injury.

It doesn't matter anymore.
We fudged it by not being ready to strike early in this window. We've left this to the winds of luck and fortitude. If we come through then 'see, we never needed anyone', if we don't 'it's Ange's fault'...meanwhile Lange hides behind his data...

COYS and here's hoping the fortitude wins through.

Yeah I see both sides of the coin. But in a weird way I find the fact we haven't just gone into the market and signed anyone available just to get bodies in as a positive. This is something we have done in the past, but excluding Werner (which I think was this type of signing and a flipping expensive one) all of our incomings these days seem to be of a specific profile and we seem to want to stick to that regardless of situation.

We can only hope that players continue to come back from here on in until the end of the season and we have overseen the worst of it....
