Regardless of how they have managed to pay for it, that Barca team is looking kind of sexy for next season.
 
Talking about Barcelona and how they have got all this money all of a sudden and no care about the repercussions, aren’t they one of the 2 or 3 teams that are fighting for the Super League? Maybe they know something we don’t and this may actually be going ahead after all?

Just a thought.

They've been to court. Judges decision is either september or december depending on reports. If they do think it's going ahead selling their tv rights and merch rights for the next 25 years is even more stupid. Their current deal they are getting about half what they are worth.

They just did the 3rd lever. We'll see if laliga accepts that as putting their turnover high enough so the 4 to 1 (at the moment 3 to 1) rule doesn't apply. If so they can do them easily.

Them wanting to sell more players suggests not though.

The rathole you posted above is a great read
Shows how precarious the position is
They get away with it because of the name but the super league thing has bitten them hard from a Spanish league standing… they aren’t being backed by the board now

Thing is. The way the elections work for barca. The president and directors have to front money to get elected. If there is massive financial problems they can be on the hook for part of it. Corrupt way of making only the rich and powerful directors but also means when there is a mess, they make it worse by trying to bail themselves out of it.

Maybe. We'll have to see what happens.

The super league is only a replacement for the cl though. It wasn't supposed to effect domestic games.
