Afternoon Team GB fans, hows the self indulgence today, still high I hope, Ive been out all day but heard weve won more golds, tremendous and if we cant celebrate success what can we do eh !!!

More tonight too possibly ?? Blooming hell upto 25 medals now, tremendous...

No fudgein idea what that cycle race was about. Didnt have a fudgein clue what was going on.
 
They really struggle to stick to the schedule in the velodrome, supposed to be the women's team final 5 mins ago, but we're getting the 2 repechage for the men's sprint instead
 
The omnium is a multi-event competition. For each of six events, the winner scores 1 point, second 2, third 3 and so on. The winner is the rider with least points after all six events.

The chaos just finished is the points race (it was a medal event on its own last time). I forget how many laps it is total but something like 140. Every ten laps they have a sprint (signalled by the bell) and the points are score (5 for first, 3 for second, 2 for third, 1 for fourth). The big scores can be obtained for lapping other riders, which gives 20 points. The winner is the rider with most points at the end of the 140? laps.
 
Also, why do some events have placing races for anything below 3rd? seems a waste of time to me, unless it's for some qualification purpose for other events after the olympics?
 
Whats up with the Team GB girl with basically only a bit of hair, she cant be ill surely and compete at such a top level, anybody know ???

This team smashed the WR in the semi, another gold maybe, Women's Team Pursuit coming up..

Those 13th place playoff finals in the rowing are ridiculous.
Stranger still is Boxing were the beaten semifinalists both get Bronze medals, whereas in other Sports there is a Bronze medal playoff.

except in judo where you have repechage's to earn a place for a bronze medal fight, against the losing semi finalists, and they still have 2 bronze medals. For me if you lose, you lose, it's like dropping into the bloody Europa League from the Champions League
