*** The official 2025/26 Premier League thread ***

Still find it absolutely incredible and under-talked about that United haven’t lost a league game they’ve been leading at home at half time since 1984 under Ron Atkinson.

Its mind boggling even more-so given how they’ve been for 10 or 12 years now.

Entertaining football is not always good football.

I'd rather watch an entertaining game than a superb exhibition of the players on both sides following the plan, I don't go to cinema or a show to see how wonderful the photography or makeup were in the film or the set and lighting at the theatre.
Most sane fans go in the hope their team will win but there are many who want to be entertained as well.

Chaos is entertaining, especially if you win or are a neutral.
I'd happily be crap but win and entertain.
To use your movie example I'd rather watch bubba hotep and be entertained than watch some the "greats".
Interstellar, shudder.

It's good to watch! I genuinely thought both teams had technically good spells in that game, as well as it being an entertaining game. Arse are technically playing really good football this season, but I'd rather watch a game like ManU vs Brighton than them.

Makes me wonder about what made them tick. Brentford seem to have not lost a step despite losing Mbuemo and Wissa and a key DM.
Not exactly missing Frank are they. It's clear that a club with the right internal structure and environment is just as important as the manager.

Here's hoping Frank's career isn't destined to go the same way as Potter who left a well run club for apparent bigger and better things and got found out somewhat....
