The Official 2024/25 Premier League Thread

After watching MotD this morning I wonder did Mr Webb have any influence on the sending off at Bournemouth, he looked busy on his mobile.

Absolutely not. If you really believe that you should get your head checked.

"But, but, but, he was there and he was typing on his phone"

*facepalm*

Probably contacting PGMOL to get them started on a statement 'explaining' the original decision and apologizing for something.

City seem incapable of keeping a clean sheet.
But I thought you can't win anything without a brilliant defence  Conceded the same number of goals as us, as mentioned previously our xG conceded is good but some want to make out as if we are one of the worst in the league at defending. The way we play we are always going to be open to some extent but it's really not that bad....

What a nonsense that is . Sending Ref to screen . How can the var not see Silva is not close to interfering. Moves away

I think he does interfere. He nudges the keeper. Not that I give a s hit. :D
Comms on the river I was watching seemed to think it was solely down to whether he blocked his view of the header and not the little nudge he gave him before.

All I can think of is, as it was the subjective part of offside ie interfering, they gave the onfield ref the deciding look (ie multiple angles) and decision.

Luckily he backed his own original decision (which is rare once asked)
