Football is a contact sport. I don't know where this 'it was contact, so it's a pen/free kick' comes from, but it's wrong. Nowhere in the rules is that stated. Was a pen in fairness, definite contact just delayed going down

He really is the reincarnation of Andy Carroll, only much worse. If Darwin was half decent this game would be over
Did Joelinton really escape a booking for that one?
Jeez
He's waved play on to far clearer contacts without getting the ball. And rightly so imo, because some physicality has to be allowed in football, for it not to become fudging basketball. So it's the inconsistency that's a problem. When he awards that as a pen, there should have been about 30 more free kicks so far.Yes, it's a contact sport, but that contact isn't tripping
Get the fudge up, play until the whistle and get on with it.Gets fouled, complains and gets booked...

I think he's set the bar at a good level, but if he followed that bar, it should not have been a penalty.
Hopefully a couple of reds in the second halfNice bit of needle to this game, bubbling away nicely.
Really thought Nunez was going to be something for Liverpool, but he’s bloody pony.
(He’ll score now, any second…)
