When every ground has to look the same, it IS uniform and boring. It's not about being uniform and boring, it's about having decorum. It's just all a bit low rent.

depends on the pattern but it could be confusing for the officials at times?
I'll challenge you to find a lower league groundsman with those skills! It looks fantastic, and as long as there are no messages or obscene symbols, I think it should be allowed. Why must everything be so fudging uniform and boring? Next thing will be pre-defined songs and chants. No one should be allowed to have unique songs or chants. How about that?
More news regarding the upcoming season:
Simulation suspensions
Players who dive or feign injury could face a two-match suspension starting from this season.
Footage from the weekend's fixtures will be reviewed each Monday and any player found guilty of simulation will be banned.
The three-man panel will consist of one former match official, a former manager and an ex-player.
The Football Association will only be able to impose the ban if the panel's decision is a unanimous one.
If a player is found guilty of deceiving an official or admits to the charge, the yellow or red card given to the opposing player can be rescinded.

Well, a step in the right direction, anyway. I can hear Mourinho moan from here already.
That last paragraph sounds as if it can only be scrutinised if the opponent gets a yellow or red.More news regarding the upcoming season:

It's a start but it doesn't go nearly far enough.Where retrospective action could be taken:

- Where an alleged act leads to a penalty
- Where an alleged act leads to a straight red card for an opponent
- Where an alleged act leads to a dismissal of an opponent [where the alleged act led to the opponent receiving either one of the two cautions]
It's a start but it doesn't go nearly far enough.
We need to make sure that there's nowhere on the pitch for cheats to hide. If that means 5 or 10 times the teams they have now then fine - football can afford it.
It could be self-funding too - just fine any player caught diving half a week's wages.
It would mean, of course, that Neymar will never play in the PL but for some that's no bad thing.
Maybe a more severe penalty for 2nd or subsequent offences. 4 games for the 2nd offence, 8 for the third, etc.Two matches is too lenient, should be different levels.
A dive can win you a league/Cup - sure they player wont mind a two game ban for that?
I don't think there is any (sporting) punishment too strong for cheating. It makes the whole thing pointless if you let it happen. Is this instead of or in addition to the chemical castration?
