The Official 2016/17 Premier League Thread

Boro are rubbish. Should get tonked. chelsea going thru the motions will win handsomely.

Boro have some decent individual players, but don't look cohesive at all. Terrible defending, and little shape or confidence going forward.

Tyler trolling the Chavski fans by reminding everyone of the last time there was a relegation on the cards when 'boro played at Stamford Bridge... although I doubt most of the current crop of glory hunting Chavs weren't even born when this occurred!

chelsea really have had a lovely easy run in. Credit to them they have done whats needed. But they haven't played that well for a few months. Sunderland could have won against them, but ended up throwing away a draw last minute. Luiz has been immense, and they are an efficient team. But rather dull. Boring Prem League this season. We're the only team who made a fight of it.

Chelski might go on and win 30 out of 38 matches though. That's a pretty damn good achievement and will be a PL record.

They said at half time it was the first time in 6 months (or something like that, I wasn't really listening) that the Chavs have been 2-0 up at half time

I think it's incredible that Conte has got his team to perform this well agaisnt Boro. Especially when you consider they were hovering near the relegation zone early last season and finished 10th. https://www.theguardian.com/footbal...am-mauricio-pochettino-spurs-advantage-ititle

He should be lauded as someone special. Perhaps even as A Special One.

I read that article. Havent laughed so much for a while.

No European football to contend with, and being bank-rolled to the extent where you can spunk millions on players which are then loaned out. My heart bleeds at how much of a disadvantage they have been at

The exact reason why we were never going to catch them once they won at Everton.

In fact, the team showed characther to beat Arsenal immediately after that result which must have been a body-blow to hear about minutes before kick-off.
Said it several times already. 3 out of 4 at home was a good-enough run-in as it was, but they could have hardly hand-picked a better quarter of fixtures to finish with
