The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

Delighted with the win. United will not be winning the EPL this term. I think they will struggle to get top 4.

We all thought that last year

They lack any real creativity but make up for it with two class forwards whoever they have only just caught us and are just ahead on goal difference!

I thought they looked like a pretty dull side today but their fans expected it (the ones I know did) as that's Moyes way. They also couldn't defend crosses which I'm sure teams will fire more at them now but whether anyone capitalises in it we will see

Arsenal in the other hand had no plan B and were trying to walk it in or cross the ball!!! Does that sound familiar?

He wont - Its between Ribery and Ronaldo for me

Agreed.

Based on Bayerns success, it SHOULD go to Ribery.
But I think Ronaldo will get it, his goalscoring this calendar year has been nothing short of spectacular.

Maybe a surprise Gareth Bale? I mean single handedly winning games, goal of the year contenders, most expensive player in the world etc.

- Lionel Messi was replaced just once during 2011 and 2012. In the year 2013 he has already been replaced NINE times
- It has now been 321 minutes since Messi last scored a goal for Barcelona in La Liga (vs Almeria, 28 September)

saying that though.

Messi in 2013 for club and country:
47 official games
45 goals
16 assists

Not bad for a stop start season... ;)

And they won La Liga...

I think there's a decent chance enough of the voters will want to see a change in winners so Ronaldo or Ribery might very well end up winning it. I think calling it pathetic if Messi wins it is a bit harsh though.

Cristiano Ronaldo

2013:
62 Goals
53 Matches

This Season:
24 Goals
17 Matches

Real Madrid total:
225 Goals
216 Matches

Had Real won a major trophy (La Liga or CL) I think it would have been pretty clearly in Ronaldo's hands. As is though, with those stats and assuming that trophies do count for something even in an individual award like this, I think it's pretty close between the 3 of them.

Like I said, I think that people wanting some variation might influence this quite a bit.

RVP's celebration was interesting... Would like to get feedback from Arsemania but it's gone into meltdown...

Pogba is immense, what a volley he's scored for Juve tonight. Man Utd must feel like absolute dingdongs getting rid of him.

The depth would look much better if they had him in their squad, and even Ravel Morrison.
