The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

Uruguay have beaten Jordan 5-0 in a World Cup qualifying playoff. Mexico - New Zealand kick off in 45 minutes.

Only watched the second half but very impressed with Uruguay. Jordan were very poor but Uruguay's attack looks very formidable. With players like Suarez and Cavani in their team, makes you wonder why they didn't qualify automatically from the South American qualifiers. Shows you how bad the quality of football in Asia are now when the supposed no.5 team in Asia gets thrashed at home like this.

Mexico bossing it. 2-0 after 40 minutes.

Mexico won 5-1, so have virtually qualified for WC now. Thought New Zealand would trouble Mexico as Mexico have been very poor lately. But I guess, Mexico's experience made the difference against New Zealand who are not known for their football. Feel a bit sorry for New Zealand as they did very well in WC 2010, drawing all their 3 matches, including against Italy. But I think WC will need attack-minded teams like Mexico more than defensive-minded teams like New Zealand.

We all thought that last year

They lack any real creativity but make up for it with two class forwards whoever they have only just caught us and are just ahead on goal difference!

I thought they looked like a pretty dull side today but their fans expected it (the ones I know did) as that's Moyes way. They also couldn't defend crosses which I'm sure teams will fire more at them now but whether anyone capitalises in it we will see

Arsenal in the other hand had no plan B and were trying to walk it in or cross the ball!!! Does that sound familiar?

Arsenal always roll over at Old Trafford. United winning is no surprise but it doesn't mean they are suddenly good enough to win the league, I am still far from convinced.

Benteke has been diabolical tonight.

he made a big mistake to stay at Villa......surrounded by mediocrity its hard to maintain the high standards he set last season . It was time for him to move on in the summer.

His own form is now suffering

possibly, although at least at Villa he'll get the opportunity to play through this bad spell and maybe come out the other side, if we had of signed him and he'd struggled he'd be hanging out with Ade now getting the odd 5 mins in the europa league

Really don't know who I want to win out of Portugal and Sweden. It's always nice seeing Ibrahimovic's inflated ego dented, but it would also be funny to see Ronaldo knocked out before he even gets to Brazil. But then another part of me would love to see Portugal v Argentina in the World Cup, Ronaldo v Messi.
