The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

This whole injured players thing is the most annoying aspect of football. Sagna getting all worked up over it was ridiculous.

At the very least the team that had won the ball back is entitled to at least one attack. They would have it whether the injured player goes down or not, so there's no reason to kick it out immediately and it gives the injured players team an unfair advantage.

If possession then changes hands then it's a different conversation. But the idea that it would go out of play straight away is sooooo stupid.

Sagna might get in trouble over that. He slapped Coutinho's face.

it's so hypocritical.

if a Liverpool player was down, Arsenal would have attacked, no doubt. It's a pathetic rule that you have to kick it out. Gibbs wasn't on the floor crying for the physio, he signalled with his hand and sat on the floor, I mean if he really wanted to I have no doubt he could have got off the pitch. I mean maybe that's what we should do? If we go 0-1 up tomorrow, just pretend we're injured every dangerous attack so Everton kick the ball out.

If we go second tomorrow, some will still find much to complain about mate...

If we play crap and win I will be with the complainers.

I want us to play like we played last season-I and most of us were not complaining then. We were scoring 2 goals a game.

Iago Falque just scored against Madrid but it was ruled out for offside, really unlucky decision as it clipped a Vallecano player on the line who was offside.

it's so hypocritical.

correct. i think it is also worth noting that if the situation was to be reversed, i wouldn't be too surprised if a liverpool player behaved like sagna.
i guess this is just professional football at the end of the day. and if hypocrisy will gain you an advantage, players will seize the chance to be a hypocrite.

Now Bale sets up Benzema to make it 0-2.

A pinpoint right footed cross from Bale, who'd of thought it?

Rayo Vallecano breaking out, pocket picked, slid into the right channel, Bale pinpoint cross to Benzema to nut in. So simple this football lark

I seem to remember a lot of complaining about Bale getting us out of jail and papering over the cracks.

Seriously who cares how we play, as long as we get the three points in the bag that's all that matters. You don't hear Chelsea fans whining about winning the league with Mourinho's style of negative football.

Norwich may look crap, but in 10 games they've played 6 of the top 8 sides.

Chelsea's away form: DLDWL

Emirates Marketing Project's away form: LDLWL

Ideally, I'd like AVB to get the team playing like Harry's when going forward, while at the same time adding steel and defensive nous at the back and making better substitutions and squad management decisions than ol' 'Arry managed. ;) Best of all worlds.

How good is Aaron Ramsey? He's unfortunately performing as one of the best players in the Premiership. He's always involved, has good technique, passes well and has a thunderbolt of a shot on him.

Arsenal are looking horrifically good. Even Szczesny is playing well!! What's happened?!

I care how we play. I am not sure if I am in a minority or not.

People will complain. It is human nature.

I watched a comedian recently who did a great shtick around people complaining about flying instead of marvelling at the fact that humans have invented a machine that we can get into that makes us better than birds.

Now here's a funny thing...

A win tomorrow at Goodison Park (difficult, but not beyond the realms of possibility) would see Spurs in second place in the Premier League Table, two points clear of both Chelsea & Liverpool.

And Spurs would be 8 points better-off than the identical matches played last season.

Makes you wonder what would happen when we start to play good football.
