The "Official" 2013/14 Other teams matches thread

Yep thats all true. But he spent most of his career at Spurs bang smack in the middle of midfield. He was partnered by Palacios, Huddlestone and then Parker/occasionally Sandro. But I never felt it was Parker who just sat or Luka who just sat. Parker tried to destroy, and give it simple to Luka. That's how I saw it anyway.

Yeh agreed....I was just pointing out that arry played him first in a central attacking position and thought that was his ideal position. He moved him to the left when he decided we would go 4-4-2.

Moyes looks haunted. You can paper over the cracks all you like, but even "he" knows he is not up to it.

At the start of the season I was pretty confident of finishing 4th but Arsenal and Liverpool's form is starting to worry me.
AVB needs to decide his first eleven for the Prem and get it playing and scoring asap.

Yeah but Man U's form pleases me. One of Pool or Arsnal will drop off. Suarez will do something stupid surely.

Has anyone noticed Brendan's post match comments? Christ, talk about going overboard! i cant imagine the superlatives he would use if he asked for a bacon buttie at home and his mrs put a cheeky egg in there. He may die of over excitement.

To be fair they look good and actually play som every good exciting football. Id be as ecstatic as he would be.

I wish I had bacon though with some ketchup in a crusty roll mmmmmmmmmmmmmm

If we were scoring like liverpool, we all know the superlatives would be flying on here.
People keep saying liverpool's next 10 games are tough - they don't look any tougher than ours.

Really surprised Chelsea are playing ManCity today and Arsenal in the League Cup on Tuesday. 2 tough games in 2 days. Maybe they are too confident to ask the League Cup match to be moved to Wednesday.

If there is one squad that can cope with that it's Chelsea. They've got a great squad

I'm not down with the Bale hate at all. I'm rooting for him to turn it around. Not least as a football fan who just wants to see great things on the pitch. Last night I kept wanting him to grab the ball on half way and just tear at defenders Inter-style. That is a great sight, whoever it is doing it.

I don't watch much Spanish football and last night reminded me why. The play-acting and officiating are unbearable. The play, for all the skill on display, is strangely static. Bale spent most of the game standing still - and it wasn't just him. Players seem rooted in some kind of zonal area and the whole thing just lacks dynamism. Also, the atmosphere was pants. No away fans is a world of suck. So yeah, I'll be watching Bale's games just out of interest, but I've no inclination to watch ordinary games.

After the 1st Stoke goal went in he looked to age 10 years.
After the game he did not exactly seem full of confidence for the future in his IV.

Totally agree. Over the years how many times have said 'They wont keep up this run' and it doesnt happen. Those two are in ominous good form right now and its worrying indeed.
Still early days, we all have some big games coming up in the next few weeks, but we certainly need to get knocking in the goals

Still cant decide whether that win has just papered over the cracks, or as someone suggested, that could be Moyes' Mark Robins moment in his United tenure

Fulham away next for them, whether they have come unstuck a few times recently
Then Arsenal at home.

Both those games will tell us a lot
