You could possibly add 'should have lost to Hull' to that list too. But the fact is, any of those games could have gone either way, and it just so happens that all of those games were missing a certain Vincent Kompany. He is the difference between us challenging for 1st or 3rd place. I am hereby opening the debate: is Vincent Kompany the best centre back in the world? It is the 'other clubs thread' after all.

Yeah he's a proper professional. Vidic is the same, he fronted up on camera yesterday despite being gubbed 4-1. In general it's usually the attacking players that are ****s, centre backs tend to be well behaved, except John Terry.

Plus he went there BEFORE Emirates Marketing Project were a force. It's quite hard to find things to dislike about him tbh.
 
youd think Kompany and Vertonghen would be one of the greatest partnerships in world football.

Totally agree. I was particularly impressed with him after losing the cup final last year and how magnanimous he was towards Wigan. People say greats can't be gracious losers well I think he proves you can.
