Everton will be a force this season. If I was a gambling man I would punt they finish the best team on Merseyside.
I used to like Mourinho, but I'm sick of the guy now. His ego gets bigger and bigger by the second. And to see him smuggly laughing at us when they got Willian was nauseating.
Trying to change the style of Chelsea? :ross: Ok Jose then why did you go to Old Trafford with no striker and play Schurrle is a false no.9? ****!
Against the good sides they will not win by simply dominating possession in the middle of the park imo - look how Everton played them beautifully last week and were good for their win.
They got outplayed by Everton precisely because they are NOT a big team. Mourinho always pays respect to the big teams and goes in with a distinct game plan. Everything is still settling down and I think with Mourinho returning everyone thought it would be business as usual, wins wins wins, straight to the title. So perhaps they were a little complacent and under-prepared. And the team has had a lot of disruption. Give it time and I'm sure this phase will look like an early blip - this is Mourinho we're talking about unfortunately..
An update on the greatest striker in the world
Nicklas Bendtner, on the bench this afternoon, last scored in the Premier League for Arsenal 999 days ago, a draw with Wigan on 29 December 2010. Do you ever find yourself wondering what might have been different if Bendtner had scored that chance against Barcelona? I rarely do.
