The new, new manager thread - Pt 3

The Times are saying 24 hours till he is appointed. BBC saying we in advanced talks with him. This is really gathering pace.

Think Poch is coming here. No idea where De Boer is off to but I could imagine somewhere like Monaco, or Germany, Italy or Spain.

He could very well be off to Galatasaray IMO. Reasons? Mancini has been poor and not too popular so he's likely to be off. Sneider influence? Be it for a short period, he actually played for Gala. I can see it happening.

In the science of accepting media reports as gospel, it is accepted that multiple weak sources can be taken as revelation when they all say the same **** with conviction at the same time. Well that's my method on it.

FDB to Milan seems to be a strong rumour

Really? Dag. Sort of makes sense. I believe the fans were calling for Seedorf's head towards the end of the season.

Too much smoke for it to be just a smokescreen. This is a full blown Pochettino fire now.

Or this one

Team bonding trips should be fun.

Also, I have only just noticed that he bears a passing resemblance to Steven Gerrard.

Times reporting Poch has signed a 3 year deal.

(Can't link as it's behind a pay-wall)

Here's the first paragraph. Still a few ifs and buts but they sound fairly confident.

Tottenham Hotspur are expected to name Mauricio Pochettino as their new head coach in the next 24 hours after virtually agreeing a three-year contract with him.
Pochettino hopes to take Jay Rodriguez with him to north London, although the deal is complicated by the striker, who scored 15 league goals this season, having a knee injury that will sideline him until October...

can't see FdB going to Southampton

Not sure he'll get a bigger job without first proving himself in a more respected league. The Southampton job for a year or two could be the perfect stepping stone for him to move on to a La Liga or EPL big boy.
