Sit down Morgan you clam :ross:

Zambia beat Ghana 1-0 to reach the ACON final. Ivory Coast currently leading 1-0 against Mali.

Come on Sunderland (or Middlesbrough). Don't need extra time here with Sunderland-Arsenal on Saturday.

Sunderland lead Middlesbrough in their FA Cup replay. Winner gets a visit from the goons.

Before the draw was made I wanted Boro to win, but now the winners play Arsenal, I'm edging towards Sunderland. 2 visits to the SOL on consecutive weekends

working out really well for gooners this especially if boro win the pens. knackered sunderland this weekend and a much softer trip in the cup

Last time Boro were in a penalty shoot-out it was against Tony Mowbray
Last time Sunderland were, it was against Martin O'Neill

How bizarre was that stat?

Wembley turf: Much-maligned

Wembley has turned to the use of a Desso pitch in a bid to resolve the ongoing problems with the playing surface.
The turf at the national stadium has regularly come in for heavy criticism, with the likes of Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp and Chelsea captain John Terry particularly scathing last season.
In June, though, Wembley laid a Desso pitch, which uses artificial fibres entwined with real grass.

The Desso Grassmaster pitches have already been successful at clubs like Tottenham, Emirates Marketing Project, Liverpool and Arsenal and Wembley chiefs are hoping it will also solve their problems.

Desso pitches were also in place at two stadiums during the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and will be used for the first time at Wembley during The FA Community Shield match between Chelsea and Manchester United next month.

The Desso system could then be used at the 2018 World Cup, if England are successful with their bid to host the tournament.

I remember playing on one of the first in London at Caledonian Market in the mid 70's it was awful. Massive bounch from goal kicks and drop kicks and I still have burn marks on my thighs from sliding tackles. Very good for good footballers though.
