Absolutely, and of course the Utd player caused contact, he was about to do something with the ball!!!!!! Skill will draw fouls. Also, Wellbeck did not dive, critical difference, he got caught by the clump BUT he knew it was coming and played for it/left his foot to be caught by the clumsy clump. Again, when refs don't see legitimate calls, players will improvise. Cahill was lucky to still be on the pitch after 30 minutes...

Just reply that Webb responded excellently to the HT blocking from Fergie!!!!!!

For what it's worth, I thought Utd deserved whatever they got and Chelski were generally brick!
 
you have to think the fact that webb did today's game makes it much less likely he'll get their next big away game. i.e. us.

well let's hope so anyway

Agree completely. Defenders need to be so careful going to ground and sticking their legs out in the box. I see nothing wrong with a player moving towards an outstreched leg, getting the contact and falling over it. If Ivanovic doesn't stick his leg out then he can't concede a penalty, sloppy play

I hope Bale and Lennon both go for The Clump like that too, he's clumsy...of course, if Bale does it, people will scream about diving and cheating, but as you said, don't be stupid in the box, keep from challenging like that, be smart about it and players cannot go over...
