Geeeeet the fudge IN!!!!!!
Note to Wenger...before offering dissertations on the defensive performances of others, get your own bricky ship on point you taco!

I agree I read an interview with him earlier and he said he was out partying to much and was not completely dedicated to football at the time he was at Spurs but he now has realized what it takes to be at top player.

I just think he has improved and matured. We may have got him at the wrong time maybe.

Maybe so but we always played him as a defensive midfielder. Even before we signed him when he won best young player in Germany he was playing as an attacking midfielder just behind the strikers

I think both of you are partially right, we did fudge him up by playing out of position but he has even admitted since then he was too immature when he got to us wasn't ready for the money and fame yet

It wasn't that cold during the midwinter-break. They could have relaid it then.

Plus why only relay the flanks if the entire thing needs relaying?

turf can be laid at any time,it just can't be walked on, let alone play football on until the roots have taken,oh about 6-8 weeks should do it. the flanks have taken a particular pounding so they, presumably bit the bullet and just did those areas. i'm only guessing here though but we wouldn't dream of laying turf on the golf course where i work in winter, certainly not on areas of heavy use but i would imagine they had no choice, it will definately need redoing in a few weeks.
