I can very well believe it, and really fear it might happen. Those three would essentially wipe out any advantage we gained over the window.
 
yeah that is what i was thinking as well, would undo all our good work.

if that is genuine then i wonder if we would be better off not selling them Bale as im pretty sure they would only be selling those players to recoup the outlay on him. who do they have up front? surely Benzema will be their first choice going in to the new season?
 
If Madrid were willing to give up those 3 to pay for Bale, why not try to get them involved in the Bale deal?

Arsenal are a bigger draw than us because of Champions League, but they are in our tier behind United/Chelsea/City.

Two and two making five...Wenger is absolutely not going to buy Di Maria, Benzema and Ozil. What does he need with Di Maria and Ozil FFS? Benzema sure, but please! Wenger couldn't handle it. I don't think any of those players will be able to close a deal before the window...

Reduce the Bale fee in exchange for a 10% interest in Benzema. 3rd party involvement is ok in Spain I think but would stop him coming to PL without Spurs agreeing the move.

Arsene Wenger has made a desperate last-ditch move to sign German wonderkid Julian Draxler.

Arsenal chief executive Ivan Gazidis was at the club’s training ground yesterday trying to seal a deal which would ease the pressure on manager Wenger before the transfer window closes at 11pm on Monday.

Wenger has major reservations about the price but Arsenal have made contact with Draxler’s club Schalke and are believed to be willing to pay around £40m, although the German club are demanding an astonishing £60m.

He was really on top form, wasn't he? Sounded like a man who knew he'd be saying "I told you so!" in the near future. I think Arsenal have some big announcements to make, and they'll probably make them on Sunday morning to give their fans an extra boost for the NLD.

Hope I'm wrong. As things stand, we'll easily finish above them over the course of a full season.
