The Goon Thread

Any still think arsenal are not in demise by the way?
Just a blip?
They'll tinkle 4th?
etc etc?

Uncle Mike is quite possibly the single, most clueless member on that side. He's also from New York

I am a member of that board and have posted fairly unbiased stuff to my credit.

But despite the general cave dwelling, crayon wielding neanderthals I am trying to communicate with, Uncle Mike stands out as the most delusional buffoon of the highest order and I have seen other lobby, arse loving members (arsenal fans too I guess) have accused him of being a Spurs fan as the stuff he says is so ludicrous.

What is your username over there?

Ralphy Coates...

as most of their die hard support started following the club in 2003 they have no clue about the legend called Ralph Coates so they don't know I'm a Spurs fan.

Ask any modern gooner who Liam Brady or Frank Stapleton is and watch the hilarious expression on their face... my favorite gooner wind up.

If they can answer that sort of question then I might enter into a sensible conversation with them or punch them round the face depending on the amount of beer I have consumed :D

Erm some of those are wishful thinking, we will have to become a team of utter brick for that to happen frankly.

Lets be honest, we have capitulated before but under Harry we are made of stronger stuff. Fact.

1 defeat is normally all it takes for us to bounce back with a win or a string of wins/draws etc

well fudge me, that is THE most deluded post I've ever seen. Makes me want to join arse-mania just so I can laugh at him. He's got them going on a 12 game winning streak which includes Chelsea, Emirates Marketing Project and Liverpool when they can't even beat Bolton. hahahahaha =D>

Almost Liverpoolesque. At start of the seson: "That's 38 winnable matches right there. The title is ours".

I must admit I go on there a lot now just to see what happens after games that we win/ or ose but only followed by when they lose or draw. For example when we lost to bricky, they were loving it. so I went to their forum and checked out their responses when they scored the equaliser against Utd, when Wenger took Chamberlain off and when Welbeck scored. Made my Monday morning a bit more happier then!

I went on there after the Bolton game and saw that depart Uncle Mike post that brick so had to share it. So he has put them down to lose 1 game between now and end of season right? what a total knob

This reminds me of when Bobby Smith came out onto the pitch at half time during Spurs v Chelsea (the 2-1 win?) a couple of seasons ago. The Chelsea fans started chanting "who are ya?" and "who the f***ing hell are you?" at him. Clueless some of these modern day fans. ](*,)

Going back to the Arsenal fella who gave the run down of how they will overtake us. I like the way he feels the need to give reasoning of why they can beat Chelsea at home yet assumes that City will be 3 points for them, no justification needed!

Haha

Liverpool are a joke. Win a game and the title is on. They beat Wolves, so they think they can smash Spurs. LOL, getting pasted by Bolton was quickly forgotten.....

I notice there isn't a single new post in their Let's Laugh at Tottenham thread since his prediction fell at the first hurdle

Actually Mike is regarded as a complete bellend by most of the Arsenal posters on that forum too, from what I can see.

Most are hoping for a Spurs win over Pool as they have all but given up on catching us. It's all about 4th pos now for them .

most of them do seem to have given up on catching us, and even on getting CL. I was having a discussion with some gooner tit on facebook and I told him to enjoy the europa league at which point all he could say was see you there, it'll be Man C, Man U, Chelsea and Pool in the top four. He couldn't even bring himself to predict that they would scrape into the top four. oh how the mighty have fallen.

I'm gonna enjoy this, it's been a long time coming. :D

Had a dream last night that we bear (or were beating) the goons 3-0 and Ade scored the first with a shot into the roof of the net from a tight angle on the right.

I desperately tried to convinced myself it wasn't a dream (in the dream) absolutley gutted when I woke up but I may have to place a bet :D

Oh and his celebration was more subdued than the City one - looked like he wanted to really go for it but ran towards the bench instead...

The remarks on Twitter from these tossers are even more rancid...always finishing off with the hash tag of 'forever in our shadow'
Best way to wind them up I find is to say to them that "if you waited a couple of years more before embracing the footie then you could have "supported" Chelski and saved yourself all the heartache" ...Or when the rapist moves on to Man bricky you can follow them and tell the world that they are the "new and improved Arsenal" #lovetottenham #hatearsenal

What makes this more shocking is that Bobby also played for them too!

Wenger will rethink his spending if Arsenal miss top-four spot

Ars?¿ne Wenger has indicated he will review his transfer policy this summer if Arsenal fail to finish in the top four for the first time in his 16-year reign at the club.

Arsenal's current standing in seventh place, five points below fourth-placed Chelsea and the lowest they have been under the Frenchman at this stage of the season , has thrown focus on the perceived weaknesses of the current squad, as well as raising the prospect of the club failing to qualify for the Champions League for the first time since 1997.

The manager has steadfastly rejected claims he should spend more freely and target more experienced, established players despite his side's failure to land a major honour since 2005, insisting his preference for nurturing youthful talent better supports Arsenal's long-term future.

Criticism of his failure to act decisively, however, has resurfaced after another transfer window during which his budget was left largely intact. Anything but victory over Blackburn Rovers at the Emirates Stadium today will provoke further discontent after a run that has brought just one point from the last four league games, particularly amongst those supporters planning a protest at the lack of transfer activity. A draw or worse against Steve Kean's struggling team would leave the top four an even more distant target and should Arsenal fail to recover ground, Wenger admits he will review his strategy.

Asked if that might mean spending heavily, he said: "We'll make that analysis at the end of the season."

Wenger described his team's recent run as a "little crisis" but claims there were enough signs in Wednesday's scoreless draw at Bolton Wanderers and the second-half recovery to win 3-2 against Aston Villa in last Sunday's FA Cup tie to suggest the worst is over.

"The competition is very interesting and I am confident that we will come back into a strong position," he said. "The fact that we have never been in this position is rather a credit to me in 16 years so I do not take that as a blame."

Andrei Arshavin has recently been a target of frustrated supporters but Wenger does not expect the midfielder to leave despite interest from Russia. "I have a huge respect for Andrei Arshavin and if you would see him behave every day you would have one as well," he said.

So if they miss out on a big source of income he will start spending big? Arsenal fans as usual ignoring the fact that they spend.
