The General Transfer Rumours and Speculation Thread

We should be all over Draxler. He'd be perfect for us. Ticks all the boxes.

Sent from outer space

Not happening:

The Belfast Telegraph is reporting that Everton are considering a shock £63m bid for long-time Arsenal target, Julian Draxler.

The 22-year-old midfielder has indicated he wished to leave Wolfsburg in a candid interview with German Bild.

Everton are reportedly ready to meet the winger's £63m release clause but Wolfsburg are adamant the player will remain at the club.

IIRC, under FFP Everton can only afford that if they sell Lukaku or Stones. They are only allowed to increase their expenditure by moderate proportions per year or something.

In proportion to increased earnings. Transfer fees are amortised over the contract anyway, so not that much of an outlay on a season by season basis. You just won't be able to do much else in the near future.

Stones is gone, they are just squeezing the last pound out .. and at 50M+ they will laugh all the way.

Lukaku is interesting ... he really should have more interest for him than he does, something keeps the big teams away.

Massively overrated. Massively overpriced. Lazy bugger who only plays for himself.

No Yedlin, Chadli or Bentaleb in the squad for the Inter match.

Wanyama and Onomah left out too, but they're clearly not transfer related

I think you are being harsh on elephants his touch is more rhinoceros.

I could understand why clubs would be interested in him as he does score goals. But imo his movement, link up play and effort is second rate( at best). But 70 million shows you how much football has gone crazy.

I agree - City, Chelsea and ManU are spending due to fear of failure, again!

PS Wenger has got it about right - they will spend but not be silly! Levy is again spot on IMHO

Swansea City have agreed the signing of former Spain international Fernando Llorente with Sevilla pending the medical tests of the striker, IBTimes UK understands. The Wales side have ironed the last terms of the agreement with Sevilla on Thursday morning (4 August) and the deal is expected to be official in the coming hours.

The towering 31-year-old number nine is set to travel to Wales today in order to undergo the medical at the Liberty Stadium on Friday. Once he passes the test, the Spaniard will put pen to paper on a two-year deal, with an optional one-year extension.

Him and Chadli as a frontline = mobility. Or not

It's the wages increase capped at £17m per annum regardless of earnings

Manu is in full panic mode, they see Pool's fate for them if they don't sort it out quickly (hence appointing a manager none of the board really wants, which in itself will be interesting).

Chelsea & City spend like that always ...
