The Game Is About Glory Podcast

Good pod lads, thanks for that.
Above all, it was a good reminder and refresher about what has happened in the last month across those teams, as it can be hard to remember everything.
I wonder if some of our U18s and U23s are playing U21 and U20 and U19 and whatever for international teams like Belgium, Ghana, Israel or whatnot, I don't know what nationalities they are.

Thanks mate. Milo's been more engaged on our academy long-term, so I've found doing these with him to be fun and educational.

Guys, I imagine you are recording a pod about now, reacting to Spurs smashing Spam.

For the love of GHod, please call him Kudus, not Kudos.
I've heard 173 pundits call him Kudos in the last 24 hours. Unless it is some bizarre pronunciation I'm not familiar with!?

I think the pronunciation is something that is similarly vague

Spurs Are Good And We Are Happy
Season 5 Episode 16

Steff, Milo, and Gareth look back at the demolition West Ham, the resurgent Sonny, the dominant Deki, and how Ange is no one-trick pony. It’s all enjoyable, defiant, and factually undeniable stuff, so welcome aboard…

Listening to you lads has become a Monday morning driving to work ritual. Always nice to wake up to a chipper Steff (thankfully not Darude). I know you guys have jobs, so I'm wondering, how the hell do you find the time to know everything there is to know about football, milo? Do you have some sort of freeze function giving you more time than the rest of us? Encyclopedia of rules, youth updates, tactical information, historical trivia - while I'm struggling remembering what "homegrown" even means ffs.

Thank you mate! I am also blown away by Milo's ability to bend time and space for the detail-dives.

I've been waiting to hear the thoughts of the pod and I think someone touched on it very briefly, but did anyone else feel that was just a totally routine win, that we had a focus and belief that is very unlike us, especially against WHU?
We weren't flashy, we didn't show boat, we played our game efficiently.
Can't quite put it into words but this felt different, a 4-1 drubbing of WHU and I would have expected a bigger reaction, but it was a bit subdued, a little like, well this is the norm, this is not a big deal because this is the level we should be at.

I know what you mean. Perhaps because we killed the game, so the last half hour was pretty relaxed / dull.
Too easy :D

I think it was a bit subdued because there was a general feeling it could/should have been 6-1 or 7-1. Regardless of the first half, once we started scoring second half it felt like we would keep going. Then 4-1 and no more - I think we felt a bit cheated out of not getting something more.
