On paper, this Netherlands team looks strong. Their options off the bench are insane! De Ligt, VDV, Maatsen, Wijnaldum, Malen, Bergweijn. And there it is. 1-1
 
Think their midfield is poor, even up top really. Depay ain't a striker, and Gakpo is a brick version of Dele Alli.

Can't remember I saw a Dutch team without a world class midfielder in it

Not world class, but they do a job. You don't need world class, just a working unit.

At the back end of the tournament you need to be able to finish. Some good approach play by the Dutch but the finishing is just not there.

And VVD just looks past his sell by date these days
